Data Sync provides developers and administrators with a powerful tool to manage, configure and schedule native data connectors for their Domino applications.
Supporting Bach & online data
Custom connectors can be added into the console using the built-in abstraction layer. Data Sync supports batch and online data import/export:
Batch
An agent performs the necessary operations according to a time schedule. The Lotus Notes data to be imported or exported may be standard user documents or IT FACTORY Architecture Keyword Documents. For standard user documents the import and export functionality supports both main and response documents.
Setup Document keys are used to identify the document type, document category and association between responses and main documents. If Keyword Documents are being imported/exported, then the import or export is related to values of the Keyword Document.

On-line
The Lotus Notes data to be imported/exported is one or more data field values for standard user documents.
Data Sync uses Lotus Notes connector technology which is provided in most installations. As a minimum this includes connectors for Lotus Notes databases, ODBC-based applications and text files.
